About

Friends of Lake Ontario Park reflect the common interest of a group of Kingstonians to preserve this unique and beautiful spot, in its entirety, as a public green space for the use and pleasure of all Kingstonians and visitors. The Friends group has no formal structure.
 
The web-site is intended to inform residents and visitors about past and proposed initiatives at the Park with LINKS to archival information and a BLOG to keep Friends and others up to date on current activities at the Park.

Acknowledgements

The site is administered on a volunteer basis. Expenses are minimal, limited to the costs of annual domain name registration. In late 2007, the administrator of a locally based website graciously undertook to host this site at no cost to the Friends. The recent web-site redesign completed in December 2008 was undertaken by a student at Kingston Learning Centre as part of course work.
